SWANSEA CITY’s BEST XI OF DECADE REVEALED

You have been voting and this is the Swansea City F.C team of the decade.

GOALKEEPR: LUCAS FABIANSKI
This was a close race with his predecessor Vorm but Fabianski got your vote as the best goalkeeper of the last decade for Swansea City.

LEFT BACK: BEN DAVIES
The Seven Sisters schooled full back got the nod over Neil Taylor. He’s not done bad for himself either has he?

RIGHT BACK: ANGEL RANGEL
Who else? The Spaniard was always nailed on for this spot and rightfully received over 90% of the vote.

CENTRE BACK: ASHLEY WILLIAMS (first choice)
So good that some people voted for him twice (we only counted one vote). He was always going to take this spot and at his best was absolutely class.

CENTRE BACK: FEDERICO FERNANDEZ
Chico run him close but the Argentinian international is your man to partner the former Captain of Wales.

CENTRE MIDFIELD: LEON, LEON, LEON!!!!
100% of the vote (minus a couple who dreamt of a team of Alan Tates). The greatest player to ever play for the Swans unsurprisingly get’s in your Xi.

CENTRE MIDFIELD: JOEY ALLEN
The boy from Narberth won a tough decision as the vote share was split between a number of players allowing him to sneak in with under 50% of the vote share.

LEFT WING: WAYNE ROUTLEDGE
Surprised at this one but his lengthy service to the club has been rightfully rewarded. Montero and Dan James were arguably better at their very best but for not long enough in your opinion!

RIGHT WING: NATHAN DYER
The only player to have survived a whole decade at the club, fans overwhelmingly backed the little winger for the wide right position.

NUMBER TEN: MICHU
No place for Siggy who was second choice here as well as out right and the second Central midfield position. Michu was a breath of fresh air and you just knew that he would take any chance given.

STRIKER: WILFIRED BONY
Michu nearly finished top here too (not sure what I’d have done then!) but the man from Ivory Coast was your pick up top to finish off a pretty formidable eleven.

MANAGER: BRENDAN RODGERS
Another VERY close battle with Michael Laudrup but it seems fitting that the man that started the Premier League campaign came out top here.
