SEAGARS GORSEINON

We went to Seagers having heard good things from friends who had been there and expecting good things having been to the grillhouse in Waunarlwydd.

A couple of weeks back Leanne and I went to Seagers in Gorseinon, we had been to the grill house in Waunarlwydd a few times and had been keen to see the new place that the same owners had opened in Gorseinon for ourselves.

First impressions were, what a great job had been done with the place, it looked fantastic inside and the staff were all very warm and welcoming. We sat down and had a good look at the menu to start.

We went for the starter platter, for main I went for the Fillet steak ( it had to be) while Leanne opted for the crispy duck. Our food soon arrived and we wasted little time and both got stuck in. The starter platter came with ribs in a bbq sauce, onion rings, chicken skewers and garlic bread. We both really enjoyed the starter, the ribs in particular were stunning and it made for a lovely start to our meal.

On to the mains and I was glad I went for the fillet, it was a nice big juicy fillet cooked to perfection, medium rare just how I like it and went really well with the peppercorn sauce and chips.

Leanne also really enjoyed her duck saying that it was cooked beautifully and did not disappoint. Suitably full but we pushed on and went for a dessert, I chose the cheesecake while Leanne decided on the chocolate fudge cake.

Leanne’s chocolate fudge cake was massive and did defeat her as did my cheesecake which was a lovely way to end our meal. We went to Seagers having heard good things from friends who had been there and expecting good things having been to the grillhouse in Waunarlwydd.

We were not disappointed and I am sure we will be back again sometime soon. The food was lovely and the staff where all very helpful and polite. One thing that Leanne commented on, was how there were a lot of staff which was quite refreshing. Some places do not put enough staff on which can be frustrating, but this was certainly not the case at Seagers.
